One of our favorite things to do at the beach is build sandcastles. It's harder now that we have more children and they are older and want to help. We start in the morning shoveling sand into a huge pile. We get a lot of comments from other beach goers that it's a futile effort with the tide eventually taking its toll but we still enjoy the process.
This year Jeff created spheres by using wet sand to pack into ball shapes. my skill lies in making stairs with a plastic knife. We had tons of comments and wonderment on how we did it, especially the balls. A couple of girls even wanted Jeff to pose with the castle so they could take a picture of the creator so somewhere out there in a family album Jeff is famous.
