Homegrown fun

It's been pretty crazy here with so many people but so much fun for all the kids. They ride the 4-wheeler, play on the waterslide, zip line, swings and just playing with cousins. There are a total of 17 kids and fortunately not all of them sleep here! They've taken turns sleeping over at Aunt Maylene's house so we have had a few peaceful nights.

My dad built this fun swing for our reunion last summer and we found we could attach the baby seats for kids who can't hang on to the ropes. Harrison absolutely loved this and would stay on forever if we didn't think the spinning would get him sick. When they put the big kids on they would really get them flying and they would start hitting their feet on the oak trees.

The 4 Wheeler is constantly in use and hard to keep it fair who's turn it is. Anath was so nice to take Harrison with her and Jarom since he would cry and try to go after it every time it drove by. My dad even has a small trailer which can carry a load of kids. One trip 4 of the older girls were all sitting on one side and when they went around a corner the trailer tipped over. Fortunately they weren't going very fast and no one was hurt. It did twist the trailer hitch so it's currently out of commission.

My parents water their lawn by flooding it with water from their pond up the road. If there's water there's little boys so we just let them play in it.
Uncle Rollin really loved playing with our boys. His middle name is James so we took this "James" picture. Notice the black eye that was still healing.
The weather has been so wonderful and never too hot, mostly in the 80's. Thankfully my boys love to wear their hats so that's one less place I have to put sunscreen. Most days the kids just eat outside and Harrison would insist on carrying his food out the side door where the kiddie size folding table and chairs are set up.
