What do you do when it's 100+ degrees?

It is so incredibly hot here! Della said this is the hottest week they have had all summer. We were planning to go to their local rec center where they have a pool and a really fun water playground for kids but it didn't open until the afternoon. We were planning to leave after lunch to drive to Las Vegas so that wouldn't work. Instead we drove to the neighborhood splash park.
The water at their park only turns on by pressing a sensor on a post near the sprayers. It wasn't working right so every time it stopped Jeff had to go shake the post and wiggle it around. We brought two buckets from Della's house and those turned out to be the most fun.
Harrison didn't really want anything to do with spraying water so Jeff finally held him up to the sprayer to get him cooled off.

After Amanda finished teaching her piano lesson she came over to see what we were doing. Then Della called Miquelle to join us after she got back from soccer practice. I don't know how they even run around and play in this heat! Jeff had a fun time dousing all the girls with buckets of water. Miquelle put up quite a fight and in the end they teamed up to get everyone else. Even I got dumped on after I put the camera down.
